Stamp with Sarah Kay #12 and Sarah Kay Challenge "True Blue"

Boy, do I just LOVE my Sarah Kay stamps! They are so much fun to color and just so darn CUTE! I can't wait until the next set is released! Just gotta have 'em all!

Can you believe that this all started out as plain cardstock? It looks like I used pattern paper but it's not...it's all handstamped! Thanks for looking!

Friday Sketchers Challenge #21

I made this card for this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge and for the Hear to Heart Blog Candy giveaway. (http://myblogbycammie.blogspot.com/2008/09/heart-to-heart-blog-candy.html) Carolyn King's grandmother passed away in June from complications of Alzheimers and she wants to give back to the generous people who took such great care of her during her illness. Please click on the above link to find out what wonderful things she is doing! Thanks Carolyn...what a fabulous thing you're doing for so many caring people!

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #18: So Charming

For this challenge we were required to either use charms on our projects or include a charming character. What character could possibly be more charming than "The Cat in the Hat?"

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #15

I did it! I made my very first Penny Black card using one of my hedgehog stamps. I fell in love with the hedgies quite some time ago and just had to have them...BUT...never got around to using them until now. I can't wait to use them more often. Anyone have any suggestions on how to color their tummies? I am not quite feelin' the all grey look.

Here's the INSIDE of my card. You can't really tell from the photo that the hedgehog is popped up from the rest of the card. Oh, and so is the blue candle that's on the front of the card.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Friday Sketchers Challenge #20

Have I mentioned that I'm addicted to my blog? Well, in case I haven't, I'm saying it now! I just can't wait to make new cards so that I can post them for people to see!

Here's my latest card. However, I must admit that this is definitely not one of my favorites!

House Mouse Challenge and A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge...Two Birds with One Stone!

I am so glad this card is finally finished! The funny thing is the hard part wasn't cutting the tiny mouse and the candle out OR even coloring them in...it was the rest of the card that took me THREE days to figure out. I tried so many different things but nothing seemed to look like it did in my head!

Here are better views of the paper piecing I did with the tiny mouse and the candle. The candle is popped up and then the mouse is popped up even a bit higher to give it more dimension.

Finally, this is a view of the bookmark that I made. You can see the tab in the first photo sticking up above in the green section.

House Mouse Challenge #3

This is my very FIRST challenge ever! I've always thought about entering but have always wanted to wait until I was a little better at being creative. BUT...tonight I finally decided that I was just going to go ahead and jump right in! I love House Mouse stamps and figured I have to start somewhere. So...here's the result!

Paper Cube Box

On my last trip to Hollo's I bought 10 paper cubes in hopes that I'd figure out something creative to do with them. Well, here's what I came up with. I split the cube in half and made a box so that the paper will fit nicely inside. It was pretty simple, once I finally figured out the correct dimensions. Of course that didn't happen until around my fourth or fifth try. Anyways, once I was finally finished I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out and will definitely be making several more. I think they'll make great gifts!

This was my first attempt at coloring with my new Copic Markers! I can already tell that these will become the answer to my prayers! For anyone who knows me, you already know that I just can't color. However, I am determined to learn how to use my Copics to their fullest potential. I WILL learn how to shade and blend. If you have any tips or advice for me...I'm all ears! I can use all the help I can get when it comes to coloring. Sorry about the poor photo quality!

Oh, I also forgot to mention that this was also my first Diorama Card too. Here's a different view so you can kind of see each of the three layers to this "box" type card. It was really fun to make! Can't wait to make more with different themes and images.

Stationery Set

This is what the stationery set looks like when it's all closed up with the matching band around it.

This is a stationery set that I made last year for Teacher Appreciation gifts. Included in this set was 12 sheets of stamped stationary, 12 sheets of of plain white stationary and 12 matching envelopes all tucked nicely away in a stationary folder. The template for the folder is my own orignal design! I am really happy with how the sets turned out...and so were all of the teachers!

If My Words Had Wings...

Perfect card for the "PERFECT" friend! This card was made with Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils and their blending pens. I just think this is one of the cutest stamps I own.
