"Oh, for the love of CHOCOLATE!"

What a super fun challenge i
t is this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge! Who doesn't love chocolate? I created the template for this jumbo candybar box-card myself and think it turned out pretty cute! The sentiment inside the card says, "Wishing you all the good things in life...friendship, happiness and chocolate!" PERFECT!

I definitely want to start making these a
s birthday cards for friends and family. Pretty simple, cheap and something different! What do you think?

Pink, Green and Brown...

that's the challenge this week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. This week the sponsor is Bearly Mine Designs...a wonderful place to buy Craft CD's jam-packed with tons of wonderful digi-papers. Oh, and I can tell you first hand how wonderful the papers are because Donna, the creator of Bearly Mine, was generous enough to give all of the Stamptacular Design Team members several designs to use on this week's challenge. Both of the pattern papers used on my card for this challenge are from Bearly Mine...fabulous, aren't they? It was so much fun using digi-papers for the first time ever...Thanks Donna!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Sketch

This week's challenge at the
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge was so much fun! I just love when I have a cool sketch to work from.

Here's my take on the sketch. Thanks for taking the time to come and visit me!

"Mums, the word!"

This week at the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog the challenge is a tribute for all Mothers! The challenge was to create a project in honor of all the hard work, compassion and unconditional love that a MOM gives each day!

This week's sponsor of the challenge is Sketching Stamper and they were kind enough to allow each of the Design Team members use one of their floral digi-stamps for our project.

Anyways, here's what I came up with...

"Charmed, I'm sure!"

This week's Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is called, "Charmed, I'm sure!" The requirements were that you had to inc
lude at least one charm on your project. This was a tough one for me! I had NO clue what in the world to do with a charm or how to include it onto my card. I'm not completely satisfied with the final result and am really contemplating on tearing the card apart and starting over. Who knows what I'll end up doing but for now...here it is!

I just love Precious Moments!

These images are just that..."PRECIOUS"! When I was a teenager I started collecting the actual figurines but then, as I got older I discovered that I am not really a knick-knack fan! I am just not a collector of things that just sit around my house and collect dust... Now, don't get me wrong, I do still think they are absolutely adorable but have discovered that they use to make Precious Moments rubber stamps! I sure do wish I could find a ton of them to add to my collection without having to pay the unbelievably outrageous price that they sell for on e-bay! Good grief!

Anyways, I have a couple of them and decided to make a Get Well Card with one of them...

I created the image with a 3-D effect. I popped up several different areas of the image and really like how it turned out! I wanted to use ribbon this card but really didn't have any that matched so I thought and thought about what other embellishments I could use on this card and came up with absolutely nothing. Suddenly, I noticed an empty tape runner on the side of my desk and realized that the rolled up spool, that use to contain the sticky stuff for a tape runner, was actually crystal clear and not sticky at all! So, I decided to cut a section off and see if I could turn it into ribbon. Guess what? It works and I love how it looks! You can even stamp on it with Staz-On!

Black and White + ONE

The theme for this week's Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is "Black and White + ONE". The requirements are that you are only allowed to use black, white and one other color for the project that you create. Oh, and you also MUST use some form of stamping somewhere on your project! If you know me at all you KNOW that I absolutely love working with black and white so this challenge was right up my alley! However, I also tried to make it a bit challenging for me so I used the color RED. Anyone who knows me also knows that I absolutely HATE the color red! So...this was quite the challenge! I decided to make something decorative, other than just a card, that I could send a cocoa packet in. Here's what I came up with. It's a little box about 1/4" in depth that has a card inside with a hot cocoa packet adhered to the back...Sorry about the poor photos!

This is for the Birds!"

This week's challenge at the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog is called "This is for the Birds!" For the challenge you are required to create a project that incorporates at least ONE bird, and, of course, stamping!

If you know me at all you know that I haven't been a lover of any of the bird stamps that have come out so this challenge was quite the challenge for me!

Anyways, this is what I came up with! I'm fairly happy with the final results and think it looks much better in real life than it does here in this photo. I clear heat embossed the flowers on the Cancer Cannot poem and for some added dimension I heat embossed the birds and cut each one out so I could pop them up off of the card.

Thanks for taking the time to look...

Anyways, I just wanted to touch base with all of you and let you know that I appreciate your continued support and all the visits to my blog!

House Mouse Challenge #27

This week's challenge was to use CHIPBOARD. Well, I don't generally buy chipboard because I have no clue what to do with it. The only thing I could come up with is this chipboard coaster calendar. Nothing fancy but hope it counts anyways!

Magnetic Fridge Notepad

Here is the results of a SWAP I joined. The SWAP was to create an altered magnetic refrigerator notepad. It just so happened that I got several magnetic calendars from the dentist office the other day and decided to use them as the base for my notepads. It worked out really well, at least I think! Besides, on the backside of the notepad is a 2010 calendar and a list of all the holidays. Anyways, I just covered the front of the magnetic calendars with pattern paper, made a small scallop topper for the notepad and stamped on the paper to give it a decorative finish. VOILA! It was quick and easy! I sure hope the recipients think they turned out nice.

Paper Piecing...

Hi everyone...I haven't been creating much lately but thought I'd share with you some of my paper piecings that I've created in the past. Paper piecing is a ton of work BUT...for me, it's very
relaxing. Click on each image and you'll be able to notice that each individual section has been created from a piece of paper. Drawn and cut to the exact shape that I needed to complete the final image.

Perpetual Calendar

Before the holidays I was working on a couple of calendar layouts for a SWAP that I was in. I was responsible for creating April, July and December. So far I've shared the April and July layouts and many of you have been patiently, or NOT, waiting for me to post my December creation...

Well, here it is...

Birthday Wishes

Here are a couple of
Birthday cards that I created to go inside of a paint can gift set. I absolutely love how they turned out and will definitely be using this idea again! They were so quick and easy!

Thank you...for your friendship!

I know you always hear me talking about a group that I'm in, Scrappin' In Toledo, well...in December we had our annual Christmas Crop. Boy was it a blast! We always have tons of activities, prizes, and an abundance of yummy food! Not to mention that most of us are able to get together all in one place to hang out, chit chat and have a great time! Anyways, this year one of our activities was a Shoebox SWAP. Everyone attending the crop created a card, provided all the materials and put them in a shoebox for each person at the crop to duplicate one of their creations. Then, at the crop all of the shoeboxes were put in one area and during the crop we all had the opportunity to sit down and make each one of the cards. When we were all finished we had about 14-16 cards that were all made and ready to be sent to someone special throughout the year! What a GREAT idea...well, in theory anyways. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and not everyone had the time to complete all the cards...BUT...it was still FUN!

Here's a look at the card I made and prepared the supplies for.
